Birchwood Credit, a division of the Birchwood Automotive Group is a comprehensive provider of subprime services.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for managing all day to day operations at the BCS – South location, including credit adjudication, sales management, and reporting and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership – Provide leadership to the BCS team and ensure that team members receive guidance, training and feedback on performance. Create a respectful, positive and team oriented working environment which engages the Team members and inspires them to perform at maximum levels.
  • Credit Adjudication – Provide strong credit adjudication skills to your team within established parameters. Identify and escalate opportunities that have merit that are outside established parameters with well developed recommendations.
  • Performance – Establish annual targets for each key performance indicators (KPI) based on market conditions, competitive knowledge and the branch’s overall targets. Monitor progress on the KPI’s and takes corrective actions when necessary. Recognize opportunities to improve performance by innovating and continually increasing the effectiveness of the business’s systems and practices.
  • Sales & Marketing – Develop a sales plan for the branch by establishing sales processes, creating and fostering a sales oriented culture at the branch and setting individual and collective sales targets for the sales team. Ensure that the sales team has proper training and hold team members accountable for achieving their sales targets and supporting our marketing efforts.
  • Customer Service – Make exceptional customer service a priority at the branch level. Create a professional, welcoming and customer friendly environment. Ensure that all team members understand the importance of complete customer satisfaction and are continuously coached on delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Administration – Monitor the accuracy of BCS financial statements while working closely with Birchwood Credit Inc. (BCI) to shore up any P&L concerns. Ensure that the branch’s inventory is at the targeted level. Approves expenses and other financial transactions within approved level of authority.
  • Facility Management – Ensure that BCS - South facility offers customers and team members a clean, attractive, and safe facility. Arrange and coordinate suppliers providing routine cleaning and maintenance services.

Essential Skills / Details

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in sub-prime automotive sales and lending.
  • Highly developed credit adjudication skills in an automotive area
  • Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to engage team members and create a positive, team oriented, enthusiastic and successful working environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and strong relationship management skills built on negotiation, communication and conflict resolution.
  • The ability to determine customer needs, an understanding of customer service principles and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and continuously improving internal processes & procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervising others with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and be agile.
